About the Program
This program is designed to assist nurses to transition into the acute inpatient hospital settings.
The program presents an opportunity to further develop your acute nursing skills and knowledge base, whilst working in a supported and supervised environment across the inpatient wards at SWH.

What you need
Prior Acute Care or hospital experience is not needed however successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Your commitment to safe patient centred care
- Clinical skills and knowledge that positively impacts on the patient experience
- An ability to adapt to the changing clinical environment
- An ability to positively collaborate and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team
- An ability to communicate effectively with patients/family/carers, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation (both verbal, written and electronic)
- An ability to promote a safe working environment and safe work practices to minimise risks

You must also be registered with AHPRA as Enrolled Nurse and have a minimum of 12 months prior nursing experience.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Nurses And Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with the appropriate classification Enrolled Nurse Level 2.
