And that’s where you come in, to help us realise our purpose to build a connected future so everyone can thrive.An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Enterprise Database – SQL Server to join the Cloud Platforms Database & Solutions Team.The opportunity:We are looking for a specialist who focuses on delivering Microsoft SQL Server solutions on Azure cloud and on-premises databases. You will provide Telstra with L3 and L4 SQL Server Database expertise and 24/7 dev-ops support. This role is critical in ensuring security, data integrity and performance standard are developed and met for all Telstra SQL Server database workloads.Please note all candidates must be Australian Citizens and must be eligible to obtain a NV1 AGSVA security clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to:Detailed design and build of optimally performing SQL Server databases, on-prem and Azure CloudIdentify technical and process resolutions from business stakeholders requirements.24x7 operational supportWorking on Telstra incidents/problems/changes within an ITIL frameworkProviding automation and/or self-service tools to DevOps teamsIdentify, analyse and specify new and emerging cloud technologies and cloud product/service opportunities and work with vendors to develop solutionsEvaluate alternative solutions, standards and technology paths.Identify key impediments to the evolution and application of these technologies and work with senior staff and vendors to develop solutions.Build relationships with Product, Operations and Account Executives to identify customer needs in order to pre-empt requirements for new operational capabilities.Create solution designs for complex customer bids in the dedicated hosting productEnough about us, let's talk about you.
