About your new role:

Working within a dedicated team of 5, as an Enterprise Risk Specialist you’ll provide specialist professional advice in relation to risk management across Energy Queensland relating to second line defence services.

Your day will consist of supporting the Manager Risk and Compliance in the development, implementation, management and improvement of Energy Queensland’s risk framework, risk program and risk reporting.

You’ll monitor and analyse risk information and data, including emerging risks (both internal and external) within the industry and the broader operational environment, and communicate the impacts of these threats and opportunities to Energy Queensland.

You will also maintain a focus on ensuring the alignment of Energy Queensland’s risk framework with the integrity, business continuity, internal audit, legal, corporate governance, health and safety, environment and cultural heritage, asset management and trading frameworks, as well as Energy Queensland’s business operations.

You can be located at any major Energy Queensland location. The remuneration for your new role is:

· 9 day fortnight: $164K to $181K plus 12.75% super;

· 10 day fortnight: $186K to $204K plus 12.75% super.

About you:

You’re a degree qualified professional with qualifications in Corporate Governance, Finance, Commerce, Law, and/or Risk Management or equivalent qualification.

Ideally you have 7+ years’ experience at an enterprise level as a specialist or senior advisor level with proven success in designing and implementing effective risk management programs, plans, guidelines, practices, and electronic systems/tools within the Australian energy and/or resources sector in large, complex organisations including extensive experience in preparing Board and Executive level briefing papers and presentations.

Your applied knowledge of applicable risk management and associated business management system standards (such as finance, trading, health and safety, environment, and quality management) and guidelines will be crucial to the success of this role.

You have highly developed communication skills, demonstrating excellence in professional written, verbal, interpersonal and listening skills, as well as delivering face to face and virtual training and presentations. Your stakeholder management is second to none and you have confidence in collaborating, influencing, and negotiating to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes.

You possess excellent project and time management skills. You have a demonstrated ability to deliver programs of work within agreed deadlines and be agile when shifting business priorities are identified.
