About the role
This position involves coordinating the technical support and changes to applications within our Enterprise Systems IT, focusing on business applications for HSE, Process Safety, Risk, Legal and Corporate Affairs.
Responsibilities include working to product backlogs, developing and supporting solutions in low/no-code applications including MS Power Platform. Acting as the primary liaison between the organization and suppliers, the role supports the resolution of supplier-related incidents, problems, or performance issues.
Why the role matters
- Provides technical support for critical applications that are required to remain available to operational and corporate teams. These include user experience, data, integration, backup and recovery, security and accessibility issues.
- Manages changes to application components and associated scripts by conducting design, build, test, and documentation activities.
- Collaborates with internal and external technical teams regularly to ensure continuity of all supported applications.
- Selects appropriate data visualisation techniques from the options available including in-app dashboards, Power BI or Tableau.
- Advises the business to make decisions regarding technology by drawing on Origin's IT processes and the broader IT team's technical expertise.
- Acts as the routine contact point between the organisation and suppliers.
- Proven ability to interpret business requirements to build and support application components.
- Proven ability to resolve technical issues relating to enterprise business applications.
- Experience resolving issues in with Power Apps and associated tools, or similar low-code applications.
- Ability to coordinate other technical teams to deliver outcomes relating to our supported applications.
- Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders, team members, colleagues, and external vendors.
- Ability to undertake work including assessing needs, meeting timeframes, delivering outcomes, and adapting to changing requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of application development within the information technology industry.
