About us lluka Resources is a global critical minerals company, with a proud 70-year history, entering a pivotal time of growth. Do you want to be a part of our next chapter and pioneer the use of a brand-new mining technology? With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation.

Iluka will be deploying this new mining technology which uses remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) system to extract key critical minerals. Iluka’s Balranald critical minerals development will extract critical minerals from the deposit using an Australian first technology. About the Location Iluka’s Balranald operation is located approximately two hours by road from Mildura in regional NSW.

You can choose to live in the local region, drive-in drive-out from towns outside the regional area or fly-in, fly-out from Brisbane or Melbourne. About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Environmental, Rehabilitation and Community Relations (ERCR) Superintendent will be responsible promoting and providing guidance aligned to company strategy and legislative compliance in Environment, Rehabilitation and Community Relations (ERCR) at Balranald. The role will manage the ERCR team to execute all departmental tasks effectively and collaboratively and provide functional and technical advice to stakeholders, while maintaining a key focus on continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

Your accountabilities will include: Developing and monitoring strategies to manage environmental, Rehabilitation and Community risk in line with approvals and stakeholder expectations Actively engaging and advising the site leadership team, employees, contractors, and other relevant parties of the standard of behaviours and actions as they pertain to managing sustainability risks required at Balranald Ensuring community and external stakeholder expectations and sentiments are continually monitored and positively influenced by the Site’s work output Ensuring Balranald has and utilizes management plans and systems which address sustainability outcomes Determining monitoring and deployment of effective strategies for environmental compliance, rehabilitation outcomes and Community consultation/assurance Ensure all requisite monitoring is undertaken and treatment systems are effectively operated and managed Managing the ERCR team’s performance and development through challenging assignments utilising and improving training and development frameworks and standards About you Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the resources sector Significant experience in monitoring environmental processes and systems Significant experience in creating sustainability management processes and approvals Comprehensive understanding of applicable legislation Proficient in the management of people, including performance management, development and leave management Ability to develop, communicate and implement day to day and strategic sustainability focused plans and systems Strong communication skills, including ability to facilitate groups and present information Our Offer
