Calidus Resources Limited are an ASX listed gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia and has recently acquired the Nullagine Gold Project.
The Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 8 years with significant potential to further resources within the region.
About the role
We are seeking a self-motivated and proactive Environmental Advisor who enjoys a wide scope of responsibilities from monitoring, coordinating surveys and studies, compliance reporting and approvals submissions. Some of the key environmental aspects of the Warrawoona Project include significant fauna including the Pilbara Leafed Nosed Bat, Ghost Bat and Northern Quoll, Ground Dependant Vegetation, Water Management and Ground Disturbance.
We are flexible with rosters and would consider either 8 days on, 6 days off, or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, flying in and out of Marble Bar.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Conduct monitoring, reporting and compliance to our obligations in accordance with statutory environmental requirements
- Coordinate site environmental monitoring programs and associated data collection, management and analysis
- Assist with the development and review of environmental documentation and the environmental management system
- Assist with the submission of internal and statutory environmental reporting including AER, MRF, NGERs, NPI and other regulatory reporting
- Assist with environmental and heritage surveys and studies to support the project development
About you
You will be an enthusiastic self-starter who can think outside the box, have an eye for detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Desired 2+ years’ experience in a mining environmental role
- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or a related discipline)
- Class C Driver’s Licence (Manual Licence), essential
- Knowledge of the Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental regulatory framework
- Experience with QGIS, INX InControl and INX InForm software is highly desirable
