What your new role is all about:
This role is responsible for providing support to our Western Region business in all matters regarding environmental development, approval implementation and environmental management ensuring compliance with state legislation.
What you'll be doing:
- Complete compliance reporting, auditing, and permit requirements at the local, state, and federal levels across Western Australia
- Assist operational areas with mine planning, resource modeling, environmental compliance, and rehabilitation efforts
- Support the development of environmental approval applications and effectively communicate compliance against approval commitments
- Manage compliance and drive best practices across Western Region Quarries, ensuring efficient and timely resource development actions
- Coordinate with traditional owners, fostering mutually beneficial relationships and addressing site-specific concerns
- Develop partnerships, maintain governance of compliance requirements, and provide technical environmental advice to support safe and sustainable project implementation
About you:
- You come armed with tertiary qualifications in environmental science, environmental planning or an environmentally related discipline
- Previous experience within a relevant environmental or planning role that included compliance reporting and auditing
- You have got some serious credibility in site rehabilitation, and you love making the world a greener place
- You can connect with anyone through your superpower of communication. From GM's to operators, you can get your message across to them in an appropriate manner
- You're not afraid to get your boots dirty and get out to site. You love to put the PPE on and get into the bush
- Your adventurous spirit know no bounds and you are open to travel around the state to visit all of our quarries
