Integral marine management roleSupported by a strong marine teamAccess to a range of employee benefitsAbout the RoleReporting to the General Manager SeaLink WA, the TransPerth Operations Manager leads the TransPerth operation of ferry services across the Swan River servicing our day-to-day commuters and tourists in meeting our government contract obligations.The position leads, plans and prioritises to effectively:
- deliver on our commitment to government contractual obligations
- coordinate rosters to deliver timetabled ferry services
- lead the marine Master team
- identifies and manages maintenance of the vessels
- maintains strong professional relationships with government bodies.
A key outcome of this role is to ensure we continue to offer faultless, reliable on-time running aboard the highest quality vessels, to our customers.The role is also responsible for demonstrating leadership of the vessel marine crew, ensuring they have the skills, tools and attitude to meet timetable commitments and provide excellent customer service.
About YouAs this is a key leadership position, you will be self motivated and results driven, and have a high level of interpersonal skills, business sense, financial understanding, fleet maintenance experience and project management capabilities to ensure success.
You will also have:- Proven engaging leadership skills
- Effective organisational and planning skills and the ability to establish priorities and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of computer literacy including the use of Microsoft software and maintenance programs/systems
- Analytical and budgetary skills and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
- Extensive management and planning experience
- Extensive supervisory experience.
You will have the following qualifications/licences and knowledge:
- Master V & MED 2 qualification at a minimum.
- A relevant trade/industry qualification is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge and experience is essential
- A current unrestricted motor vehicle driver's licence
- Senior First Aid qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Working within confined spaces ticket
- Working at heights ticket is desirable
- Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems
