The Role
As a valued team member, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with clients, crafting quality proposals and tenders, and directing diverse projects. Your responsibilities will include managing industrial site decommissioning, remediation close-out, and client acquisition/feasibility assessment. You will excel in preparing top-notch investigation and assessment reports, coordinating site investigations, and overseeing budgets, workloads, and resource requirements. Additionally, you'll contribute to business opportunities, promote health, safety, and environmental management, and participate in our collaborative and dynamic work environment.
About you
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in environmental science or engineering, with a solid understanding of earth sciences, particularly hydrogeology, geology, or chemistry.
- 3 to 6 years of demonstrated experience in environmental investigation, Contaminated Land assessment, and/or remediation within consulting, industry, or government.
- Project management skills, including resource and budget management, with certification in project management being desirable.
- Passion for technical excellence, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience in fieldwork related to contaminated sites.
- Knowledge and preferably experience in engaging with regulatory agencies.
- Excellent proposal/report writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in developing business networks and the capability to win work.
- Familiarity with applicable environmental legislation and guidelines is desirable but not essential.
- A valid driver's license.
