Environmental Consultants - Marine Science
We are experiencing an exciting period of growth with a range of new marine projects all around Australia and are looking for early-to-mid career marine scientists to join our industry-leading team.
Successful candidates will have a passion for applying their knowledge to achieve more sustainable outcomes for marine-based projects and experience in project management.
Key responsibilities
- Providing technical advice to internal and external clients for environmental matters in areas of technical expertise.
- Performing technical tasks applying standard methods.
- Preparing work scopes, project costings and surveys under direction.
- Interpreting data sets and producing environmental reports and advice or similar.
- Project Management of discrete projects, including managing project budgets, risks, quality of deliverables to scope and HSE factors.
Qualifications, skills & experience
To be successful you’ll need:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Environmental Consultancy industry.
- Qualifications in Environmental Science and Management or equivalent.
- Proven experience in environmental project management
- Ability to think critically and scientifically.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently.
- Ability to coordinate the production of large documents.
- Strong report writing, editing and researching skills.
- Knowledge and experience in working in offshore industries (oil and gas, ports/harbours, renewables) and a broad understanding of the oil and gas industry (including seismic, drilling & operations) is welcomed.
