Spinifex Recruiting is working with a reputable construction client to secure an Environmental Coordinator for an upcoming local project and ongoing projects across NSW and the wider Australian landscape.
This is a Full-time ongoing role based in either Wagga Wagga or Albury NSW.
Salary Range between $80-100K + Superannuation (negotiable) with an immediate commencement date.

Our client is a construction and civil engineering company, operating in more than 60 countries. They provide world-class services in building, civil engineering, earthworks, renewable energy, and mining services.
The Role
The Environmental Coordinator will be a part of the Environment team and report to the Project Director and Environment Manager.
This role is responsible for;
- Managing ISO14001 Environmental Management System, knowledge of management plans, emergency procedures and processes.
- Understanding New South Wales environmental regulations and legislation.
- Organising and completing reporting activities, processes and procedures required under the Management System (weekly inspections, rainfall checks, erosion control monitoring, water discharge checks etc).
- Development consents and approvals and managing all the conditions associated.
- Communicating with broader teams -toolbox talks, training, manage high pressure situations.
- working directly with site supervisors / superintendents and being the point of contact for enviro issues.
Desired Requirements:
- Ecology experience - able to undertake pre-clearance checks or at least be able to coordinate with an ecologist on site.
- Experience with erosion control and water management on large earthworks schemes.
- Knowledge of landscaping and planting timeframes/seasons.
- Experience dealing with EPA and regulators.
- Experience undertaking audits with independent auditors.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience with degree or relevant experience in environmental field
- Competent being on site - this is a site-based role.
