Salary: $68,920 to $77,180 per annum, plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, knowledge and experience

About the role
In your new role you will be responsible to the Environmental Operations Coordinator. The position has three major responsibilities;
· Environmental operations field work, including the restoration and maintenance of bushland reserves and associated track infrastructure, catchment devices, and asset protection zones.
· Supporting bushland community programs and education, including Council’s volunteer Bushcare program, community education and engagement activities, e.g., community planting events and community nursery activities.
· Supporting catchment management programs, including field and logistical support for water quality and catchment health monitoring, e.g., boat operations and water quality sampling.
About you
The Environmental Field Officer position is an integral part of the Environment Branch, you will have a high level of knowledge and experience in the areas of bushland and catchment management, including bush regeneration. The ability to work unsupervised, with good time management and organisational skills is needed. You will be required to prioritise competing demands, including the ability to undertake reactive tasks and meet deadlines as set by the Environmental Operations, Bushland Programs and Catchment Programs teams.
