Environmental Health Officer Permanent Full Time Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight $88,066 - $95,671 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4 to Level 5 depending on skills and experience) Superannuation Location – Rockhampton Your new role Enjoy the benefits of a broad role responsible for ensuring the preservation and promotion of a high standard of community health and quality of life through consultation, education, inspection and monitoring and strategic planning. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check). What we are looking for Ability to work together with others to achieve common goals both within immediate team and teams across Council. Demonstrated oral communication skills with ability to engage and address members of the wider community, provide accurate advice and ensure a quality customer service is provided to internal and external stakeholders. Provision of high level technical support and specialist advice on legislation, Council policies and Australian Standards to immediate colleagues, Council staff, customers and Government and Non-Government agencies where appropriate. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, Local Laws and policies in Environmental Health and ability to interpret and effectively apply legislation.
