Address- Part time (30 hours per fortnight)

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Health and Compliance team, aiming to deliver a customer-focused and efficient service dedicated to the community's health and welfare.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with residents and local businesses as you:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Grant approvals for various projects and initiatives.
- Implement sampling programs to monitor environmental conditions.
- Investigate complaints and provide solutions.
- Offer expert advice on a range of Environmental Health issues.
What we are looking for
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
- Technical expertise as a qualified Environmental Health Officer and ability to confidently navigate relevant information technology programs and applications.
- Proven track record of working within relevant legislation, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices in Environmental Health.
- Well-honed written and verbal communication skills.
Essential requirements
- Current driver's licence.
- Environmental Health Officer qualification (as required by Section 18 of the Public Health Act 2016), and relevant experience
- Noise authorisation under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (requirement for Level 6)
- Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
