- Co-ordinating and directing the tasks of field personnel, predominantly but not limited to; native seed collection, planting and weed control.
- Having responsibility for field activity quality control.
- Ensuring that internal standards and HS&E legislation are met, with safety given paramount importance.
- Working closely with project managers to understand and deliver project scope.
- Tracking progress, productivity, and timesheets through templates, registers, databases, and GIS.
- Training, and mentoring field technicians, and.
- Other duties including but not limited to: revegetation monitoring, site maintenance, equipment maintenance, site preparation, seed processing, seed testing, and herbarium development, etc.
- Field based experience as a team leader in the revegetation, environmental, landscaping, forestry, horticulture or related industries.
- Completed a relevant qualification in Conservation, Environmental Management, or Horticulture.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience in seed collection and/or revegetation methods.
- Knowledge of Southwest native plant and weed species.
- Experience operating and maintaining parks and gardens mechanical hand tools (i.e., brushcutters, augers, etc.).
- Experience in manual and chemical weed management techniques.
- Current manual driver's license.
