Environmental Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join our team.

As the Environmental Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring environmental management and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide input and support into the strategic direction of the business and provide timely advice to the business regarding relevant environmental legislation and permitting requirements.
• Interpret legislation, regulatory and client requirements and provide informed commentary, improvement opportunities and risk management strategies.
• Promote environmental awareness, leadership, and guidance on environmental matters to site-based personnel.
• Implement and manage the Environmental Management System and coordinate and execute environmental monitoring.
• Provide direction to the project teams and contractors to ensure behaviours, actions and attitudes align with the company’s values.
• Provide ongoing guidance, support, and relevant training, supporting professional development and performance.

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or similar qualification in Environmental Management
• Mentoring and supervisory experience and a passion for building capability 
• Solid understanding of operational functions within the construction industry 
• High level report writing skills
• Substantial experience in undertaking environmental audits, inspections, and investigations, with formal audit and investigation qualifications highly desirable
