Form of workThe Mt Magnet Environmental team are seeking an Environmental Superintendent for a permanent position.
This opportunity is offered on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster FIFO ex Perth or BIBO from Geraldton. Mt Magnet enjoys the benefits of working closely to small regional town including an IGA, Community Engagement, and recreational facilities.
Reporting to the General Manager, your role will be to provide the below.
Leadership and Mentoring
- Lead and direct to the environmental team.
- Advise the Managers in relation to legal obligations, policies, systems and procedures.
- Delegate tasks to Environmental team and oversee completion of monitoring.
Compliance and Monitoring
- Schedule and oversee works for environmental monitoring and studies.
- Record and analyse environmental monitoring data, GIS, Monitor Pro etc.
- Advise the site management team relating to compliance and improvements to site environmental management.
Rehabilitation and Closure
- Coordinate timely rehabilitation of disturbed areas.
- Organise service providers to undertake rehabilitation tasks.
Data Management

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we would like to see;
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Natural Resources or equivalent.
- Operational experience in mining is essential.
- Proficiency in the use of Environmental Data software (Monitor Pro).
- Knowledge of regulatory environment reporting systems.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and ArcGIS.
- A West Australian C class driver’s license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
