AddressDFP Recruitment is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Project Officer to join one of our clients within the maritime industry based in Fremantle. This full-time role is a temporary assignment lasting up to 8 months.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Environment, the Environmental Project Officer will be responsible for implementing and developing various projects.
Key Duties Include:
- Managing the planning and implementation of bio fuelstrial.
- Reviewing the light vehicle fleet to identify opportunities for transitioning to low-emission or electric vehicles.
- Conducting electricity and fuel efficiency audits.
- Researching and providing advice on carbon emissions offset strategies.
- Supporting the electrical branch in planning and delivering photo-voltaicprojects.
- Managing the collection and reporting of program and project data.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements, goals, scopes, and deliverablesare clear and agreed upon.
- Monitoring and reporting on project budgets and schedules.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications or experience in project management.
- Experience in preparing business cases and/or project justifications (highly desirable).
- Experience working with business stakeholders within a multidisciplinary or cross-functional environment.
- The ability to multitask while delivering a diverse program of works/projects.
- Strong research skills related to project issues.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
