This is an exciting opportunity to work with a family business combining your interest and knowledge in the environment with your organisational skills in project reporting and project oversight.
Main Skills Required:
Excellent organisation and task management
- Undertake responsibility for ensuring a calendar of management activities is documented and implemented.
- Coordinate team members to prioritise and implement these management tasks.
Report writing
- Document commenced and completed work, and ability to provide regular reports.
- Produce detailed reports that are clear, concise and grammatically correct.
Report interpretation
- Understand and interpret project plans and condense into actions.
- Ability to read and digest long documents.
Confidentiality
- Understand and adhere to the requirement for complete confidentiality
This role requires around 1 x day per week, however the workload can be flexible to suit school hours and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Track and report the progress of land management activities, including but not limited to weed control, flora and fauna preservation, and monitor sheep grazing activities.
- Evaluate recommendations from third-party reports and ensure their effective translation into actionable plans, implemented through a structured calendar of activities.
- Share and instil our commitment for improving environmental outcomes based on a series of environmental objectives.
Would this role suit you?
Do you have loads of administrative and project management experience? This is a perfect role for you. You would be required in the office every second week, however days are flexible, and in some weeks you might undertake more work to have a break over the school holidays.
A passion for environmental work and a flair for a well implemented project would be beneficial but not crucial.
Fundamentally you need to be organised, have excellent attention to detail, a keen eye for managing systems and a knack for report writing. This doesn't have to be at a professional report writing level but it should be clear and concise.
