Salary- Need to be available to work in the centre on Thursdays from 11am - 7pm. As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), you'll provide FDR to families' post-separation who are experiencing various levels of conflict and are unable to reach agreements about children or property. Online video appointments, legally-assisted mediation and child inclusive practice are examples of Uniting's innovative FDR practices. You will be working with a dynamic team of FDRPs and therapists to support families holistically.About You
- Accredited by the Australian Attorney-General's Department (AGD) as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, or eligible for accreditation. Applicants who are unsure of eligibility should contact the AGD Practitioner Accreditation Unit. Uniting will require evidence of eligibility.
- Tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work.
- An understanding of the process and purpose of child inclusive mediation practice.
- Knowledge of family law legislation.
- Knowledge and understanding of community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties.
- Understanding of child protection issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as be able to contribute to the functioning of the team.
- Excellent communication, organisation and writing skills.
- Computer literacy.
