We are currently seeking a graduate or experienced industry professional Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, preparing reports, and designing solutions related to water management, sewage systems, stormwater control, contamination issues, and various other environmental initiatives.
Role of Environmental Scientist/EngineerThe Environmental Scientist and/or Engineer will be responsible for conducting field investigations, designing water and sewage management systems, and performing environmental evaluations and reports, including the remediation of contaminated land. This role may involve managing projects of varying scales related to water and sewage infrastructure. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with multiple divisions within the company and contractors, addressing a diverse array of tasks as required.
Main projects and duties- Water and wastewater assessment, design, construction, and operation
- Stormwater modelling
- Groundwater dewatering projects
- Constructed wetland design
- Contaminated land assessment and remediation
- Construction environmental management plans
- Environmental monitoring and assessments - water, soil and groundwater investigations.
- Environmental assessments and reporting
- Environmental Science or Engineering Degree (or similar)
- Competent with computers, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Practical skills - working with tools, equipment etc.
- Data management and reporting
- Job role will be dependant on the experience of the candidate
- 4-5 days per week
- Permanent contract
- 3-month trial period
