Multiple exciting opportunity are available for Environmental Scientists and Planner to join our Planning and Environmental Approvals team based either in Sydney or Newcastle. 

These role will contribute to the delivery of a strong pipeline of exciting projects in the New South Wales renewables, energy storage, water and transport sectors. The team is part of a national planning and environmental approvals practice, enabling you to work on projects across Australia with our 250 strong Environmental Solutions business.  

The role:

You will work alongside highly experienced professionals that will support you to grow and develop professionally. You will:

  • Work with clients throughout project planning phase in the preparation of environmental constraints reports, scoping documents, review of environmental factors, environmental impact assessments and statutory planning submissions.
  • Support the scoping and management of environmental studies and surveys.
  • Prepare high quality environmental approvals documentation and environmental management plans.
  • Have access to career development framework to guide your career growth.

Here’s what you’ll need:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to work across a diverse suite of projects across multiple industry sectors. In this role you will develop your consulting, writing, project management and technical skills through delivering a range of environmental consulting projects. You will have:

  • A degree/post graduate qualification in environmental science, environmental planning or related discipline.
  • Consulting experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental planning or environmental management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of New South Wales and Commonwealth environmental planning legislation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong motivation and ability to work self-directed.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Interest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplines and sectors.
