About the Role
Our Little Mountain Residential Aged Care Service is looking for Environmental Service Workers (Cleaning and Kitchenhand staff) to join the team. In this role you will be responsible for kitchen, dining room, laundry and cleaning duties within our facility.
In this varied role you will:
- Assist in the preparation of meals; maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
- Assist with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays;
- Be responsible for laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing; maintain the cleanliness of the laundry and equipment;
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility's residential areas.
About You
You will be a supportive person who is looking to join a dedicated team and contribute to the provision of excellent care to our much loved residents.
To be successful in this role your skills and experience will ideally include:
- Previous relevant work experience, preferably within a multi-disciplinary team environment will be highly regarded;
- Experience working in the aged care industry is desirable but not essential;
- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable, however, we will provide you with training to succeed in this role;
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer;
- A current National Police Certificate - or the ability to acquire.
