About the Role:

Reporting to the Rehabilitation Monitoring & Handback Superintendent, you will be an integral member of our Mining Environmental team, and will work closely with regulators, internal subject matter experts, external stakeholders, and consultants to drive the Completion Certification workstreams, as specified within the WA Mining Rehabilitation Strategy.
The position is specifically responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Current State Assessment of Alcoa’s rehabilitation against Completion Criteria, development of associated rehabilitation database and coordination of Final Submission Reports and remediation actions plans to support handback of rehabilitated forest to the State.

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
A degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, environmental management, ecology or equivalent.
A thorough understanding of environmental regulations, rehabilitation completion criteria and experience delivering complex handback or closure projects.
Strong project coordination and management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to influence and communicate with people at all levels in the organisation.
Proficient in Arc GIS or equivalent.
Current Manual Driver’s License (Class C.)
