We currently have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental & Sustainability professional to join our organisation. This is a hands-on leadership & compliance role based out of head office in Beresfield NSW.
This role will see you reporting to the Divisional Manager HSEQT and taking responsibility for Environmental & Sustainability compliance, as well as developing and executing our sustainability and environment strategy across the group.
This role would suit a highly driven environmental professional with strong sustainability experience, preferably with civil construction knowledge who is ready to take the next step in their career in a highly sought after role.
Who are you?
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering related discipline.
- Strong Environmental & Sustainability compliance experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining environmental / sustainability management systems.
- Experience in developing and executing an organisations sustainability & environment strategy including required internal and external reporting.
- Demonstrated experience delivering bespoke sustainability projects and driving a culture of contemporary thinking, alternative practices that benefit the business, environment and provide sustainable working practices in various business applications.
- Knowledge of the ISC and ISAP.
- Knowledge and ability to apply statutory and regulatory requirements to assist in the development of business systems relating to sustainability and the environment.
- Knowledge and experience applying Sustainable Development Goals in a business context.
Desirable:
- Experience in civil construction tenders and delivery phases, providing feedback on alternative methods of construction, pricing, and supply use from a sustainability & environmental perspective.
- Accredited ISAP Professional.
