Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of water-related environmental impacts, including water quality, aquatic habitats, and biodiversity, to identify potential risks and mitigation measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant environmental regulations and guidelines governing water resources management, ensuring that projects comply with all applicable requirements.
  • Sustainable Water Management: Develop and implement sustainable water management strategies and practices, incorporating principles of water conservation, watershed management, and ecosystem restoration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to foster dialogue, address concerns, and promote consensus on water-related environmental issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical advice and support on a wide range of water-related topics, including water quality monitoring, pollution prevention, stormwater management, and watershed planning.
  • Project Management: Manage Environmental Water projects from inception to completion, including project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with water-related environmental projects and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and scientific information related to water quality, hydrology, and environmental monitoring, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity-building support to clients and stakeholders on water conservation, pollution control, and other environmental best practices.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion in the Environmental Water sector, and collaborate with the business development team to pursue new projects and partnerships.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in environmental consulting, water resources management, or a related field, with a focus on water-related environmental issues.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines related to water resources management and protection.
  • Experience conducting environmental assessments, impact studies, and regulatory compliance reviews for water-related projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex environmental data and scientific information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional, Professional Hydrologist) are a plus.
