This is a full time role.With the current Director of Nursing: Acute Services away on leave – MDHS is looking to second an experienced Director of Nursing for a 3-month period to oversee and manage Acute Services across the Maryborough Campus. On top of day-to-day operations, the Director of Nursing: Acute Services will also play a key role in assisting the Executive with the construction and fit out of our new $115 million hospital.About the Role

• Based at the Maryborough Campus
• Oversee a workforce of approximately 140 staff.
• 7 Direct reports – Nurse Unit Manager x 4 (Acute Care, Urgent Care, Dialysis & Oncology, Perioperative Services), Midwifery Unit Manager, Pharmacist, After Hours Coordinators.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Post Graduate Qualifications in Nursing.
• Demonstrated experience at a senior management level in health.
• In depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, accreditation framework and policies.
• Demonstrating the traits, inclinations, and dispositions that characterize successful leaders; exhibiting behaviour styles that meet the demands of a leader role.
• Invites feedback on own behaviour and impact; uses new knowledge or information about self to build a broader understanding of own behaviour and the impact it has on others.
• Working effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining good working relationships
