About 0.5 FTE Role:
As the Deputy Principal for Student Wellbeing and Social Emotional Learning you will have responsibility for:
This six-month project will deliver key elements of the Annual Implementation Plan and lead capacity building of team members. The project will include but will not be limited to:
* Reviewing the Broadbeach State School social emotional learning program (Healthy Minds) to:
* align with legislation
* incorporate Respectful Relationships policy and curriculum
* collaboratively rewrite the lesson plans within Healthy Minds program to precisely align with the Hollingsworth and Ybarra's EDI lesson planning
* Collaborate with relevant leaders and HPE teachers to ensure efficient coverage of all relevant curriculum requirements.
Additional responsibilities of the role will include leadership and management of:
The Arts portfolio:
* Curriculum and Pedagogy - dance, drama, music
* Instrumental music
* Dance program (extra-curricular)
* Arts Gala
* Student attendance.
About 1.0 FTE Role:
As the Deputy Principal for Curriculum and Pedagogy you will have responsibility for:
This six-month project will deliver key elements of the Annual Implementation Plan and lead capacity building of team members. The project will include but will not be limited to:
* Collaboratively designing units for the English and Mathematics aligned to Australian Curriculum V9.
* Building the capacity of leaders, teachers and paraprofessionals to quality assure the development of unit and lesson plans aligned to Hollingsworth and Ybarra's EDI model.
* Lead and manage data collection, analysis, monitoring and retrieval to inform teaching and learning utilising Track Ed and OneSchool applications.
* Leading school-wide, data-driven, differentiation processes for the complex needs of the student population.
Additional responsibilities of the role will include management of the teacher aides:
* Alignment of local protocols to EB; timetabling; training.
