We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic entry level individual to join our expanding team to generate qualified opportunities for our Sales Teams. As part of the Marketing Business Development team, you will be working closely with the regional sales and marketing teams to generate sales accepted leads via multiple channels with a mix of inbound (lead follow-up) and outbound (prospecting) activities.As a Business Development Representative you will be an important member of the organisation, playing a critical role to uncover and develop new opportunities to build a strong pipeline of sales opportunities. In doing so, you’ll have a direct impact in sourcing new business for the company.This is a hybrid role preferably within Sydney NSW.Your day-to-dayQualify and develop inbound and outbound sales accepted leads and respond to product inquiries, and nurture those prospects as assigned.Utilise your research and planning skills and have meaningful conversations to engage and acquire new leadsFollow-up on all leads generated by marketing and convert initial interest into sales accepted leadsManage email campaigns to generate new sales prospectsManage cold-calling telephone-based campaigns to generate new sales prospectsComplete accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.comSchedule demonstrations between Commercial Sales team members and potential customerWhat You Bring To The TeamHighly motivated individual with a competitive personality, and good attention to detailTarget orientated, ambitious, creative, customer focusedPrevious experience with solutions that can be deployed in private or public clouds a plusExperience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM is a bonusExcellent phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) as well as organisational skillsPrevious experience working and succeeding in a goal-driven, fast-paced environment preferredFluent English language skills and Working Rights in AustraliaWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
