2024 is a pivotal year for the Mining Infrastructure and Project Delivery (MIPD) Business Group, with a robust pipeline of work driving our ambitious growth plans for our national team. We currently have multiple opportunities, ranging from experienced engineers to technical leadership roles, in our Newcastle and Singleton offices. We are also accepting Sydney based applicants at a Senior level and above.

WSP Mining covers the whole mining lifecycle from exploration and resource assessment, through mine planning and design, infrastructure and processing, project execution, sustaining operations through to closure and relinquishment. We have the capability to develop projects from the pit to the port working for the world's largest mining companies not only in Australia, but across the globe.
About you

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering
• CPEng; or working towards (RPEQ highly desirable)
• Experience in the Australian infrastructure industry, mining consultancy experience an advantage
• Technical skills across a broad range of areas in the infrastructure sector
• Ability to break down complex problems, develop cohesive strategic responses, and then present to stakeholders to come to an agreement on a preferred way forward;
• Demonstrated experience 'thinking outside the box' and challenging the status quo;
• Identify strategic risks, situations where these risks may become problematic during project delivery and inform the project team.
• Interest in the environmental, sustainability and social impacts of our work and ability to take this into account when developing decision making processes.
• Experience in the application of modelling software and/or analytics techniques.
