Summerstar are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI), for future roles in one of our many Caravan and Tourist Parks in Western Australia and South Australia and for our Motel in Bunbury.
Summerstar Tourist Parks is a group of family-owned and operated caravan parks, tourist parks and a motel. We operate in the following locations:
Ceduna, Esperance, Walpole, Margaret River, Busselton, Bunbury, Jurien Bay, Geraldton, Horrocks Beach, Kalbarri, Carnarvon, Eighty Mile Beach, Broome & Tom Price.
Summerstar currently employs approximately 200 staff across all of our Parks.

For the Park Manager roles, we are looking for couples who have experience managing a Tourist or Caravan Park or a Motel and are ready to take on the responsibility for the smooth functioning of the Park. For these roles, we are seeking 'hands-on' Management teams with a positive outlook, enthusiasm and great leadership and people management skills.
Caring about and for our staff is essential to be successful in any management role with Summerstar.
Full-time Staff must provide a current police check, first aid certificate, driver’s licence or be able to acquire these before the arranged start date.
To be considered for the Relief Staff (Management Level) roles, you will need your own reliable vehicle (capable of towing your own van) and your own Caravan.
Common tasks performed by the Park Managers, Assistant Managers & Relief Staff (Management Level) include but are not limited to:
- Park operations, organisation and participation, including out of hours responsibilities
- Completion of groundskeeping tasks to ensure a high standard is maintained throughout the park via the mowing of lawns, pool & garden maintenance, painting, housekeeping, stripping rooms, bins, etc.
- Reception and on-site shop duties, answering the telephone and check-ins/outs;
- Night patrols & being available for after-hours call-outs
- Maximising revenue opportunities
- Social media and marketing activities
- End-of-month reporting
- Financial management - operating, reporting, delivering and implementing budgets
- Seasonal activities including BBQs, kids activities etc
- Some training of new assistant managers and staff may be required
Essential skills and attributes:
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Competent handyman and office skills
- Physically fit
- Comprehensive team leadership experience
- Sound understanding of financial drivers of a business
- Computer literate with RMS experience
- Flexible attitude with regard to work hours
- Caravan Park Management, Tourist Park or Assistant Management experience is essential
- Immediate Start available

Travelling Relief Staff need their own van and vehicle (allowance provided).
Seasonal Park Staff
We are seeking the following staff (singles or couples) for our upcoming Northern Season (Carnarvon, Tom Price and Eighty Mile Beach). The season typically runs from May to September.

At Tom Price Tourist Park and Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park, we have staff accommodation available (nominal fee $25 per week, per person), and at all 4 of our Northern Parks, we have free powered sites available for staff with their own vans, campers or tents.
