ABOUT THE ROLE
Pathways are designed to provide students an alternative pathway into university. The Tertiary Pathway. Program assists students to develop (over the semester) the necessary skills and attributes for successful transition to undergraduate degree programs.
The Senior Administration Officer will provide support services to prospective students, domestic and international, and assist in the efficient operation of Pathways across campuses. The role reports to the National Director of Pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the administrative support to the National Director of Pathways and senior staff, including acting as Executive Officer, as required.
- Supervise administrative officer, manage workload and procedures.
- Liaise with Prospective Students Office, Admissions and Marketing to ensure the successful and accurate promotion of Pathways material.
- Coordinate records of student results for approval and presentation.
- Manage timetabling for internal and external Pathways students.
- Manage budget expenditure for the Pathways program including tracking of anticipated spending and assist the National Director in compiling detailed budget submission (preparing the budget, financial analysis, and forecasting).
- Hold a degree with subsequent relevant experience or extensive and / or broad administrative experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education/ training.
- Proven ability to interpret policy; review and implement processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective administrative and related support to programs and projects including collating information and preparing documents, reports and spreadsheets.
- Hold excellent time management skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficient and well-developed knowledge with Microsoft Office suite programs - Word, Excel and Outlook.
