Flinders Medical Centre are looking for an Equipment Services Officer to join their busy and rewarding team!
About the Role:
The Equipment Services Officer will be multi-skilled and perform a range of duties associated with the coordination of consumables, medical products, biomedical and capital equipment in the Intensive and Critical Care Unit (ICCU). This will include coordinating, sourcing and ordering consumable stock, both impress and non-impress, maintaining point of care stock locations and bulk storage holdings within the department and maintain a range of biomedical and capital equipment within the department under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager/s.
You will communicate effectively with a range of employees and contractors within SALHN, will demonstrate initiative and an ability to problem solve supply and equipment issues. You will assist in the maintenance of a safe working environment for all staff, patients and visitors to the ICCU.
Please note: This position will work over a seven day roster.
About you:
- Must hold an AQF Certificate III relevant to employee's position and at least 560 satisfactory in service experience.
- Proven experience in working under pressure using high level of attention to detail and meeting agreed timeframes whilst maintaining confidentiality in the workplace
- Experience in a health or retail environment managing stock and warehouse operations
- Experience in using information systems and maintaining information databases
- Experience working in Patient Service environment or health care facility
