Description
Asia Branch Operations is a diverse organization comprising of 9 locations, supporting multiple product classes. Asia Branch Operations support the firm's sales, trading and other business activities and has varied responsibilities, including:
- Ensuring that all operational risks are recognised and managed
- Developing and maintaining strong internal and external client relationships
- Making sure transactions are recorded and settled appropriately
- Providing value-added support in new markets and new products
- Continually seeking opportunities for improvement and delivering innovative solutions
Australian Branch Middle Office teams support client & firm related equity trading activity from the point of trading through to settlement, for both domestic and international trading. The objective of the team is to maintain a high level of value-added service and to partner with Business Units to address key internal and client issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Fails & Pre-matching (Int'l & Domestic)
- Regulatory Reporting
- Trade allocation and confirmation generation to clients.
- Reconciliation, risk reporting & managing exception items & emails
- Onboarding & Static Data maintenance
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in an Operations role
- Preferably experience within a global investment bank (Equity Trade Support &/ Client services experience an advantage)
- Experience working with sales/traders & clients
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and act with urgency when required.
- Strong communication skills, willingness to learn & transfer knowledge is imperative
- Team player, must be able to collaborate across multiple operational areas
- Detail oriented, focused on accuracy, prioritization & organisation skills
- Ability to identify potential process improvements
- Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Acute awareness of risk, with clear focus on control and timely escalation of risk items to management
- Commitment, strong work ethic & self-motivated
