About the RoleAs an Estimating Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in our ongoing success story, providing crucial support to our estimating and tendering processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the meticulous preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Assist estimators in reviewing project specifications, material costs, and labour estimates to craft competitive tender submissions.
- Collaborating closely with our Estimating and project management teams to gather essential information for tendering purposes.
- Cultivating and nurturing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotes and negotiate favourable pricing.
- Contributing to the development of precise cost estimates and budgets for upcoming projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
- Providing invaluable administrative support throughout the estimating and tendering process, including document management and database maintenance.
We're on the lookout for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a genuine passion for construction and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role or fast paced administration role.
- Confident multitasking abilities, with a knack for organization and managing multiple estimate projects simultaneously.
- Thrives in a positive, fast-paced environment, exhibiting logical, detailed, and analytical working approaches.
- Self-motivated with an enthusiastic, hardworking attitude, thriving on challenges.
- Alignment with our Vision, Mission & Values, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Driven by consistent results/KPIs, with a proven track record of delivering outputs on time.
- Natural problem-solving skills, coupled with a solutions-oriented mindset and excellent computer literacy.
