Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for overseeing our ETL processes. This includes data modelling, data warehouse architecture, data pipeline development and ETL testing.
Working with a variety of data technologies, you will work in a batch processing environment where the emphasis is on processing large volumes of data at scale and speed.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
Designing, implementing and optimising high performance ETL Systems
Working with a variety of data sources, including SQL, NoSQL databases, and flat files
Efficiently managing structured data, unstructured data, and meta data
Working with querying and reporting tools, application development tools, data mining and OLAP tools
Managing the data cleansing and data enrichment process
Designing data warehouse architectures
Designing and building data pipelines, including data extraction, staging, formatting and enrichment
Testing tools, models, and data pipelines
Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation
We’re looking for:
Tertiary qualification in Technology preferred
Previous experience in ETL development (5+ years)
Experience with Bash, Python and SQL scripting, in a Linux/Unix environment
Knowledge and expertise in data model testing, data flow validation and system performance testing
Proven experience with designing, implementing and optimising ETL processes
Experience with designing data modelling and data warehouse architectures
Strong communication and problem solving skills
