Role
To provide full International & Domestic event, conference, and incentive services to all corporate clients. This includes all travel-related requirements, logistics and onsite event management tasks which are to be carried out in a proficient manner and in accordance with CWT Procedures and Standards.
You will be commencing as an Event Manager and will be responsible for
a. The management of specific client programs from sourcing through to implementation
b. The execution of Conference & Event programs within the CWT M&E division – from handover, implementation, budget, operation & reconciliation
c. Provide and maintain a high level of service and be a proactive Event Manager and member of the M&E team
d. Assist in the preparation of new RFPs and Client Proposals when requested
e. Exceed customer expectations through the delivery of high-standard programs by offering, professional and on-time/on-budget delivery
Goal

Knowledge
- Understanding of Budgets, Critical Time Paths, Contracting Process and Procedures, BEOs, etc.
- Knowledge of operations for hotels, venues, ground suppliers and other elements that form a successful program
- Logistical/ Geographical knowledge of destinations & access
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Travel & Tourism accreditation (Certificate IV or higher)
- Events Management accreditation / 5+ years’ experience
- Events software experience – EventsAir, CVent and other related Event Software
- IATA Fares & Ticketing I & II
- GDS trained & certified
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills – written and oral
- Excellent research skills
- Strong organisational time management & planning skills
- Able to work autonomously and self-manage workloads
- High attention to detail Essential
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to effectively work with internal staff
- Ability to effectively manage multiple programs concurrently within a team
- Willingness to accept change & contribute constructively to it
- Development of solution-driven options for clients' programs – multi facets – programs, tours, budgets, working documents, websites, flights, itineraries, brochures, travel documents – whatever is required for the program
- Previous experience within the Events business stream or a similar field
- Customer service with a focus on exceeding client expectations
- Desirable to have worked within a mid to large-sized travel team
- Will have undertaken and experienced own personal travel
