We currently have the opportunity for an experienced Event Marketing Specialist to join the Future Students Unit on a fixed-term basis.
The role is responsible for supporting a range of future and current student and alumni marketing and communications activities, with a particular focus on acquisition marketing, enhancing the student experience and event management, to achieve department and UTS College goals.
This is a maternity leave cover from March 2024 - Jan 2025.
About the role
This position is responsible for:
- Develop and execute an end-to-end event strategy for all major recruitment events such as College Info Nights, UTS Open Day and UTS Info Day, that achieve department goals , including amarketing and communications plan, lead management and conversion plan, event management plan, analysis and reporting
- Work closely with the conversion executive, digital marketing team, design team and internal departments to collaboratively develop the above comprehensive event plan
- Support internal stakeholders with their goals and objectives
- Ensure UTS MCU have up-to-date marketing materials for distribution at events and in mail outs
- Colloborate with UTS (MCU) on school engagement programs such as Experience UTS (on-campus) and attend or support off-campus events.
- Work with various stakeholders to select and gain buy-in on a quality range of UTS College merchandise that is ordered in a timely manner, complies with brand guidelines and meets the requirements of stakeholders
- Support the Marketing Manager, Student Acquisition, to deliver marketing activities that support student recruitment, retention and articulation and enhance the student experience.
- Support the sales and marketing team when required with the production of materials, merchandise and event support
- Provide support to other members of the Marketing team as directed by the Marketing Manager, Student Acquistion. This may include project work, updating websites, managing photo shoots or production schedules for promotional videos etc.
About you
To succeed in this role you must have:
* 6 years + commercial experience in a sales and marketing team
* Business, commerce, marketing, communications or related degree
* Experienced in event management
* An understanding of international markets (desired)
* Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite
* High level of attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and works collaboratively across the organisation
