The Role:
As part of the International Directorate within DTI,the Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and deliveringhigh-level projects and events as part of the agency’sstrategic program of international activities and marketactivations.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able todemonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
- Manage and deliver events and market activations as part of DTI’s strategic program of business missions, ministerial visits, and overseas initiatives.
- Develop and implement event strategies and project management activities, which support the achievements of the department’s objectives.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities and strong organisational skills to ensure projects are delivered effectively and on time.
- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, including international stakeholders (DTI’s global offices, Austrade and DFAT).
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to lead project meetings and provide succinct briefings and reports.
Desirable Qualification:
Tertiary qualifications in event management,communications and/or marketing.
Special Conditions
- Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
- The position is offered on a backfill term basis until 17/03/2026
Remuneration:
AS05 - $84,522 to $94,003
