Role Detail
Based in the Sydney CBD office, you will join a high-performing Events and Sponsorships team within the Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) function. The Events team creates, manages, and executes the firm's client and internal events, ensuring a differentiated client experience and alignment with firm strategy.
This is your opportunity as either an events professional in the early stages of your career or an administrative superstar wanting to start a career in Corporate events. You will be given autonomy and provided with the right support. Curiosity and a hunger for learning are a must.
You will report to the Sydney-based Client Engagement & Sponsorships Lead. Key responsibilities for this role include:
· Coordinating the planning and delivery of a high volume of events (seminars, boardroom events, online events, entertainment-focused) and sponsorship activations as part of the national internal and client events program.
· Working closely with the Brand, Business Development, and Corporate Affairs teams and stakeholders to deliver powerful events and campaigns that positively impact revenue.
· All aspects of event management, including taking briefs, scoping, sharing knowledge, planning, administrative tasks, stakeholder management, event delivery, and evaluation.
· Managing budgets.
· Developing tactical and creative event concepts that engage both internal stakeholders and the event audience.
· Providing a high level of on-site and virtual support during events and seminars.
· Drafting and coordinating event communications and collateral, including invitations, brochures, signage, menus, name badges, seating plans and place cards.
· Ensuring all event tasks are completed to deadlines.
· Setting up, and managing, event guest lists in our client database.
· Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure bookings, catering, AV requirements, etc. are delivered to the highest quality for all events.
· Researching, sourcing, and recommending appropriate venues.
· Accurate and detailed reporting of event attendance and event feedback.
· Collaborating with and supporting colleagues across the national events team.

What else?
· Tertiary education in event management, marketing, or related fields will be highly regarded.
· As with most roles in events, flexibility to work outside regular hours will be required e.g. breakfast and evening events, with occasional weekend work.
