About the Role:We are recruiting an experienced
Men's Family Violence Practitioner to work with a leading not for profit organisation. The role will provide specialist case management and co-facilitation of the Men's Behaviour Change Groups to clients who are engaged in the MBC program. There is the option of a Fulltime locum contract OR causal evening group facilitation (minimum 2 nights per week).
Key Duties:- Deliver high quality case management services to men undertaking the men's behaviour change program to reduce the risk of violence to affected family members.
- Provide assessments, intensive response interviews and individualised support for men undertaking the MBCP.
- Co-Facilitate the Men's Behaviour Change Programs.
- Maintain current knowledge of Family Violence related legislation, regulations, theories and frameworks.
Skills and Experience:- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
- Minimum 12 months experience working in a Family Violence Program
- Understanding of Family Violence theoretical frameworks and interventions
- Comprehensive MARAM training and experience utilising this with people who use violence
- Principal facilitation experience highly desirable
You will also need to be willing to provide 2x professional references + undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
