A great opportunity for an event professional to join The University of Adelaide and contribute to strategic marketing and student recruitment initiatives, through the management of large-scale events.
Working within a team of event professionals, the Events Officer role is responsible for the end-to-end management of high-quality external engagement events.
Encompassing all facets of event management including planning, budgeting, briefing, operational coordination, promotion and communications, event execution and review, events within this portfolio include large-scale recruitment such as the University’s Open Day.
This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with faculty and marketing and recruitment teams, as well a diverse stakeholder group both internal and external to the University.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in event management, including planning, budgeting, briefing, operational coordination, promotion and communications, event execution and review.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple tasks, implementing plans to achieve define outcomes and solving problems in an innovative and creative manner.
- Demonstrated experience with online events and an understanding of digital event experiences.
- Demonstrated experience setting and meeting deadlines, monitoring and reviewing standard processes, with a particular focus on high level planning and prioritising skills.
- Experience in organising event content or branded materials.
