About the role:
We are currently seeking an Events Support Officer. It is a key role within the Placemaking, Events and Activations team. This will be a great opportunity for a well-organised team player who is comfortable and competent when engaging and working with the community, as they are with their colleagues across the organisation.
In this role you will:
- work collaboratively with the Placemaking, Events and Activations team to ensure compliance with the organisation culture and
- Provide quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the highest level of safety, including the development and implementation of appropriate risk management
- adhere to requirements contained in relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice when undertaking tasks/activities and to advise their Supervisor/Coordinator if they become aware of any changes to these.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Relevant job related experience in administration
- Experience assisting with events
- Experience engaging with contractors and suppliers
- Understanding of Local Government protocol and political sensitivities
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills including prioritising tasks and handle competing tasks within agreed timelines
- Experience working within a team environment
- Demonstrated willingness to work flexible or extended hours to ensure successful delivery of events
