We are on the lookout for a creative and enthusiastic Event & Activation Officer who is passionate about creating everlasting experiences for our community!The Job: Events & Activation OfficerAs an Events & Activation Officer, you will be the connector between key internal and external stakeholders to support the coordination and delivery of our inclusive Council events and activations.Your goal? To support the successful delivery of community events that increase the vibrancy of our city and enrich the lives of our community.What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the delivery of community events including Australia Day, Community Carols, Anzac Day Service, Citizenship Ceremonies, and other activations.
- Supporting the team to conceptualize, plan, and deliver inclusive and accessible events to ensure our diverse community can access and participate.
- Supporting the coordination of event logistics, including venue, catering, transportation, VIP guests and technical provisions.
- Collating event feedback, applying data insights, and sentiment to improve event design and delivery.
- Effectively and proactively coordinating procurement activities in accordance with budget requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication with a customer focused approach, with the ability to develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environments, making you always on the ball.
- Innovative and creative thinking to help with staying ahead of the curve and translating ideas into incredible actions.
- Availability to work an out of hours roster including weekends and public holidays as required.
