The Uniting Church Synod of SA comprises more than 250 congregations conducting extensive and diverse mission activities across the state. The Engagement Ministry Centre of the Uniting Church Synod of SA, seeks to appoint an Events and Administration Officer (0.7FTE). This position will be based across two locations: Pirie Street Synod Office and the Uniting College for Leadership & Theology (UCLT) at the Brooklyn Park Campus.
The Engagement Team seeks to develop and encourage high level communication across the Synod, Uniting College, congregations and associated church organisations. The promotion of the whole of Synod activities including marketing, branding, Events and public relations are key in its responsibilities.
The Events and Administration Officer will report to the Executive Officer, Engagement, the role will involve the ability to liaise and work collaboratively on a range of events, promotions and communications related activities delivered by the Engagement Ministry Centre. The role will also provide administration support to the Executive Officer Engagement and will be a vital support to the Engagement team and to the UCLT in effective engagement, promotions and communications within the church.
The Events and Administration Officer will work within the Engagement Ministry Centre to:
- Be responsible for the logistics, operations and co-ordination of key UCASA ministry events within the areas of Mission Leadership & Development (MLD), UCLT, Mission Resourcing and the Secretariat, which includes the Annual General Meeting of the Synod.
- Develop and implement promotional plans to increase awareness of the UCLT.
- Support the broader work of the Engagement Team in accordance with the scope of this position.
