About the role
- The Sydney International Equestrian Centre and Sydney International Shooting Centre are unique sporting and event destinations, located in the Western Sydney Parklands only 40 minutes west of the Sydney CBD.
- The Events Officer is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and operations of all events staged across the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Dunc Gray Velodrome and/or the Sydney International Shooting Centre, Southern Highlands Regional Shooting Complex.
- As part of this diverse role, you will also liaise with event organisers to predict demand for infrastructure and services to support events. The role will also require an ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
- You will regularly liaise with relevant stakeholders such as local Councils and other State Government organisations and maintain appropriate records of event applications and site requirements at the Venue.
- You will have a demonstrated ability to assist in all aspects of event planning, coordination, marketing, and operations.
- You can deal effectively and professionally with business clients and industry stakeholders whilst managing their expectations and balancing competing priorities. You foster a positive customer experience, and you are technology savvy.
- Understanding of WH&S, visitor safety and risk management issues as well as the proven ability to work both in a team environment and independently will see you succeed in this role.
