Job description

About the role  

Supported by a cohesive and supportive team, this position is responsible for the planning and coordination of annual Civic Events programs and related protocols, including the Australian Citizenship program and the Citizen of the Year Awards program. You will also contribute to the delivery of Civic Events and Major events throughout the City.  

On a daily basis you will: 

  • Ensure the delivery of events are within the allocated budget 
  • Contribute to the development of critical documents, including briefing notes, event briefs and run orders. 
  • Work with the team of Event Producers and the Events and Festivals team more broadly to conceive and develop event specific marketing and communications briefs. 

About You  

With a significant amount of relevant production experience, you have proven success in delivering large public or private events and a comprehensive knowledge of the entertainment and events industry. 

Juggling multiple projects, your adept time and project management skills guarantee that you navigate through competing demands and meet tight deadlines. 

Qualifications  

  • Tertiary qualifications, such as a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Hospitality (or related discipline) or another relevant qualification. 

What’s on offer 

This is a contract opportunity up to 12 months.  

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $90,298 to $99,439 plus11% superannuation.

The successful candidate is required to be vaccinated (at least 2 doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine) in accordance with Council's vaccination policy. Candidates may submit a medical contraindication for Council's consideration.
