About the Role:
As the Events Partnership & Sponsorship Lead, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of Parramatta's event landscape. Your primary focus will be on fostering strategic partnerships and securing sponsorships to fuel the creation and development of events that reflect Parramatta's diversity and energy. Working closely with internal teams, you'll craft innovative partnership strategies, identify collaboration opportunities, and leverage industry networks to maximise our reach and impact. This role empowers you to be a leader in securing sponsorships, driving income generation, and building lasting partnerships that elevate Parramatta's global profile.
Your role will involve:
- Developing creative and innovative partnership strategies to drive growth and development across Council's event program.
- Identifying and engaging potential partners and sponsors to enable the creation and development of events that align with Parramatta's strategic vision.
- Leading commercial negotiations and contractual agreements with key partners and sponsors, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop event-specific briefs for marketing and communication plans, ensuring partnership deliverables are met.
- Overseeing the Events Grants program, and evaluating funding effectiveness.
- Fostering effective relationships with external partners, community representatives, and authorities to maximise support and resources.
- Aligning partnership efforts with Council’s guidelines and strategic objectives.
About You:
- Degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Showcase a proven track record of cultivating strategic partnerships and securing sponsorships.
- 5+ years' experience in developing strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about diversity, inclusion, and community engagement, with a drive to make a positive impact.
- Have a drive to make a positive impact and leave a lasting legacy.
What’s on offer:
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $113,848 to $125,370 plus 11% superannuation.
