Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Administration Officer will be primarily responsible for the administrative and office requirements of Integrated & Community Health (l&CH) supporting  the Director of Nursing and Clincial Governance. 
The Administration Officer will be required to establish strong working relationships with staff both within the Local Health District and external stakeholders/partners and at all times maintaining a professional, courteous and   positive manner, in accordance with the Code of Conduct and other organisational policies and procedures.
This role is integral to ensuring high level administrative responsibilities are undertaken in an efficient, professional and timely manner.  The Administrative Officer will be the secretariat for executive meetings and will also undertake Human Resource, Finance and Clinical Governance work to support the Director of Nursing and Clinical Governance.

Integrated and Community Health are responsible for providing care in the community across WSLHD. This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery. We are looking for a professional team member with effective verbal and written communication skills, who is well organised and is able to exercise initiative and sound judgement to ensure administrative responsibilities are achieved in an efficient and timely manner.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to prepare and review correspondence including minute taking within an executive environment.
  2. Experience in providing high level of support to executives whilst working in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  3. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  4. Previous experience in independently managing diaries and emails of senior managers including making appropriate decisions and progress issues on their behalf.
  5. Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, to interpret information and advice and use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters.
  6. Ability to foresee and carry out duties of the position independently as well as conscientiously working to team goals and values.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to exercise sound judgement in challenging or difficult situations.
  8. High level of proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of office projects including HPE Content Manager (HPECM).
