- Salary - Clerk Grade 7/8: ranges from $106,025 up to $117,363 + 11% super.

About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Deputy Secretary of Energy, Climate Change, and Sustainability (ECCS). This is a highly critical role that contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of the Deputy Secretary's office. It will involve providing executive support and advice, coordinating and managing the Deputy Secretary’s calendar and meetings, and engaging with key senior executives as well as external stakeholders.
About you
- You are able to manage competing priorities and provide high levels of support with attention to detail, while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- You will take initiative to identify and fill gaps in a high-pressure team environment, coordinating delivery and integrating information from multiple sources to ensure optimal operating outcomes for the Deputy Secretary.
- You will exercise judgment to analyse and interpret complex information, evaluate impacts, and determine appropriate responses quickly, addressing issues and managing matters to maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- You are capable of building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key experience
- Experience providing high-level support to senior executives.
- Ability to quickly understand government protocols and administrative policies, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of and working relationships with key internal and external portfolio stakeholders
